Introduction
The Regional Federation of Transport Business Organizations in Murcia - FROET – was founded in 1977. It is an enterprises’ association that brings together more than 1,350 companies devoted to the road transport both of goods and of passengers, as well as to the transport auxiliary and complementary activities. These companies belong to the subsectors of:
- Road Transport of Goods
- Road Transport of Passengers
- Goods Transport Agencies
- Travel Agencies
Its field of action is circumscribed to the Region of Murcia, representing the interests of the associated companies and being their interlocutor before the administration and before the workers’ trade unions, admitting in this sense the will of the whole sector.
FROET is present in all those forums and institutions in which any decision affecting the interests of the road transport sector is taken. It has representatives in the Transport Advisory Council of the Region of Murcia, in the Board of Transportation Arbitration, in the Chambers of Commerce of the Region, in the Regional Confederation of Business Organizations of the Region of Murcia, CROEM, in the University-Company Foundation of Murcia, in the Economic and social Council of the Region of Murcia or in the Mutual Guarantee Society UNDEMUR, among others.
Besides, FROET belongs to the national business organizations CETM (CONETRANS, FEDAT, FEDEM, CEFTRAL), ANETRA, FENEBUS and FEAAV, so that from these forums the interests of the sector are defended both on national and international levels.
Likewise, it provides the associated companies all those services necessary for them to implement their activities, becoming a very useful tool for the employers in the daily activities of their companies.
FROET is the first organization in the transport sector in Spain that got the Quality Certificate UNE-EN-ISO 9001 in 2000.
